We have achieved an amazing amount of success with our Polish, in the face of adversity, in the short amount of time we've been breeding these little rabbits. Currently I'm keeping only a small group of the very best Polish to continue on with. The line has proven extreamly strong in all colored varieties- having won at least one national honor in black, blue, chocolate and brokens.
DC'S Peyton: Best of Breed ARBA National Convention 08

Wow! This was our second EVER showing at a convention and to walk away with Best of Breed was awesome. Peyton is a multiple BOB/BOS winning buck, but with this "cherry on top" he is now retired from the show table.

DC's Matt: BOSV Broken ARBA National Convention 08

Matt has always been the consumate showman with lots of BOB/BOS wins to his credit. It was a lot of fun to see the two "boys" up there in the BOB judging at the 2008 convention.

DC's Cyrus: BOSV 2009 ARBA Convention; 1st JB 2009 Polish Nationals, 1 Best in Show, 4 Reserve in Shows.
Cyrus has had an immaculate show career! I showed him at the Polish nationals as a young rabbit before shipping him to CA to be Jenn's new black herd buck and he's done exceptionally well there for her. His littermate sister Bravo is producing lovely babies for me in WI.

DC's Liz: Best Blue 2008 National Polish Show
The trip to Ohio was worth it! Even through the 40 degree temperature difference, Liz managed to hold her condition and claim the crown in the blue variety. Our blues have been incredibly successful in both the Midwest and on the west coast. We look forward to more blues with our blues!

DC's Ema: 1st Blue Jr. Doe 2008 National Polish Show
Another fine example of the DCF blue program! Only two blues out of the DCF barn were shown at the 08 nationals and both won their respective classes. In CA, Jenn has shown a full sister to Ema to several BOB wins. Ema picked up a BOB win in very limited showing in winter 08.

DC's Anna: Best Chocolate 2008 National Polish Show
Anna is an exceptionally pretty chocolate doe and proved as much going BOV at the Polish Naitonals as well as winning several BOB & BOS's. Excitment was high after winning two out of the four varieties we raise at the nationals!

DC's Single Barrel: 1st Jr. Buck 2007 National Polish Show
Barrel surpassed expectations by solidly winning the broken jr. buck class at DCF's first attempt at a Polish National Show. He also had his share of local wins and even more important is an excellent sire. He is the sire of DC's Liz (BOV blue 08 Nationals), DC's Ema (1st Jr. Doe 08 Nationals) & DC's Anna (BOV Chocolate 08 Nationals) all pictured above. Single Barrell is also the sire of 2008 ARBA Convention BOB winner, DC's Peyton.
| I've really fallen for this litte breed. In my experience they are good mothers, relativley easy keepers and breeders. They have good temperaments and are fun to have around! | Polish are and excellent rabbit for beginners and 4-H youth breeders. They are far easier to breed than most other breeds I have raised which avoids the frustration that is common with some of the popular breeds. |
